you absolutly no clue what you are talking about. You are basing your entire desicion on the basis of this audio. Students need to be taught to think critcally. What ever happened to academic freedom? He just put the suggestion out there, he didn't say this is fact or this is how it is. He put it as a suggestion. I don't agree with what he said and obviously neither do you but respect that he has a right to say what he did.

Well, I say: not in a geography class. He was supposed to be teaching geography on the taxpayers' dime. It didn't sound like geography to me. Almost none of this idiot's taxpayer bosses share his ideas or even consider them suitable to be discussed in public school classes other than history. (I understand that Mr. Bennish started his short teaching career as a history teacher, but was demoted to teaching geography.)
I took geography classes in college to satisfy my science requirements by memorizing simple facts instead of doing anything that required math or involved unpleasant odors. The classes were full of wrestlers and other jocks. Crying freedom of speech doesn't make otherwise seditious acts less seditious.
The tape was a free discussion, you say? You can hear the monotonous responses from his hapless pupils, like chanting cultists.

George, the creepy American you jokingly reference, Joe McCarthy, was a failure: Communism has permeated the USA in spite of his shameful rampage. His ultimate aim was to make it illegal to be a Communist. Folks that know me also know I don't wish to make anything illegal. Crusading lawmakers like McCarthy make me nervous.
