I'm going to have to re-read Almanac of the Dead (1991) by Leslie Marmon Silko, a mixed blood Indian from the Southwest. This 'invasion' has been predicted for quite awhile and, in fact, may only be the first wave. The second, and more deadly threat, would be armed Indians all the way from Chiapas. I'm sure Mexico would be only too happy to share that particular problem with us, along with their comparatively benign poverty. Hope she's wrong, but whoever would have guessed what we're seeing now?

Hey, I thought it was a criminal offence to fly the US flag in such a way. There was a case way a few years where a Quebecer tourist flew the Quebec flag above the US flag and the sherrif paid him a visit to sort him out. Turns out the Quebecer was just ignorant, did not know the protocol of flag flying and amended his ways. Maybe the Mexicans that flew those flags are just ignorant, or maybe not.
The problem is that americans dont have a hair on their ass. we`ve depended on the govt. limp wristed approach too long. the change is going to have to start at home. and guess what?

I dont know about canucks-ville, but in the usa we see outrage/injustice we usually organize and do something about it. why nothing is being done now shows me that, '..americans (today) dont have a hair on their ass.'

I am not too observant but I just realized the US flag was upsidedown, bad enough to be under another flag. And Mike, the KKK remark was a cheap shot, I was hoping you would go nuts but you did not rise to the bait. And Mike, we all don't speak French up here, I am English speaking only. Up here though, if you can't speak French, it restricts promotions in the Federal government and some provincial governments plus many jobs requires proficiency in both languages and that holds true in many retail jobs as well. The same thing is going to happen in parts of the USA if you can't speak Spanish. Unless of course if you o.r.g.a.n.i.z.e. So considered yourself warned. Be afraid, be very afraid. If nothing else, Mike, it seems you have a sense of humour. As for the lesser audience, there does not seem to be that many here if I go by the number of different names I have seen here. PTG peaked my interest in this site when he commented in another blog where I take great joy in baiting a Bush Republican. Just curious, but what state do you live in?
