Corn is perhaps the perfect consumer product ... you can eat (or drink) the kernels in a wide variety of formats, use the cob to "clean up" later on, then dry it out and burn it for warmth and cooking.

Even manna can't compete with that.

The popular perception is that farmers are raking it in now, and that is just wrong somehow. Jeff Danziger, who is a leftard as far as I'm concerned, seems to share this idea.

Mr. Danziger obviously hasn't spent much time down on the farm. He should check out the parking lot at our big Con-Agra campus here in Omaha if he's looking for aggies in Beemers and Jags.
