I know I'm just a cynical old bunny, but I am beginning to wonder if the problems with the House email system are really due to overwhelming volume; maybe they just don't want to hear from John Q, and have squeezed down the system until it appears to be clogged ... you know, like what they say is happening to the "credit markets" ....

I haven't been able to email Adrian's office for three or four days, so, like you p.t., I reached for A.G. Bell's wondrous invention; the little girl who finally answered sounded like she wished I would just go away ...

That doesn't surprise me at all, UW. I'm sure the cats at Adrian Smith's office do wish you would go away. Please don't.

Call them again. Feel free to call any House member you have ever shown any support for as well. They know they don't have to listen to you if you aren't in their district, but some of them will. All Congress-cats love money, and the thought that you might have sent them some once and might do it again gets their attention.

Getting Congress to do your will requires constant vigilance. Its like house-breaking a chicken.
