Wait, no, it was when I told the new kid in school named John that my name was John too and let him believe it for a week until the playground bullies threatened to beat him up for not getting it right. But that might have been in the fourth grade, or last year, I can’t quite remember.
No, I’m wrong. It was when my teacher walloped me across my poor little innocent face for sassing (kind of by mistake).
Marriage??? You know, the governments, state and federal, really do need to get out of the business of discrimination. You would think we’d be farther along by now.
