Does the technology that we see in these movies actually exist? Ok, I know some of its too ridiculous to fathom but if some of the gadgets are in existence, they have to be there for a reason, right? Eh? Ehh??
(And we only went to Chipotle because it took us so damned long to get there in the first place...=)

I think they hardly exist on *any* scale, let alone something like the movies. People just don't like being personally responsible for killing other people.
When people actually are assassinated (which is much less often than you'd think given how many hated people there are in the world) it's usually because of either (1) a wackjob whose brain isn't working normally or (2) a military action, which is a whole 'nother can of worms.
Who do you want assassinated anyway??
