I never read any of the Heaven books, sadly. Just the five Flowers in the Attic books and the Dawn books. I think I read My Sweet Audrina but I don't remember anything about it (although I've recently heard talk about how totally fucked up it is, and you know how I like fucked-up-ness, so I think it's time for a reread).

For example, did you know that her first published story was called "I Slept With My Uncle on My Wedding Night"?
It's so funny because she would write these graphic incest scenes and then make sure to punish the characters that engaged in it, just to make sure you knew that she really thought that incest was very very bad. Like "INCESTUOUS SIBLINGS SHALL BE DAMNED, but that won't stop me from describing the actual act in full-on masturbatory detail." Also funny how people will go on about how DISGUSTING AND DESPICABLE AND DISTURBING the rape scene between Chris and Cathy was, and then in the same breath talk about how they totally stayed up all night reading the entire series. I'm specifically thinking about these people. Yeah right, you know your thirteen-year-old self totally got off on the rape scene, and the only reason you read the books at all was for the incest. That was the only draw - it certainly wasn't the complex, unrecycled plots or the lifelike characters.
I have to say though, one great thing about that thread I linked is that everyone else seems to remember the same line that I do: about the "tight resisting flesh that tore and bled." hee hee heeeeeee....ew.

Ahhh the Flowers in the Attic cover! I mean...anyone who has read that book knows who those two are and that their relationship shouldn't exactly be portrayed like that! I can't believe we're not more twisted for having read those books...V.C. Andrews made up some sick shit.
Yes, the relationship between Tom and Heaven was very chaste...did you ever read Dark Angel? Because the relationship between Heaven and her uncle is HOT! (no, it really is..before we find out that, you know, he's her uncle...)
