Be thankful you're in Idaho and this is the extent that you see it. If you lived in Texas, California, Arizona you would see it on a daily basis yourself.

Being in Texas, this is the crap we have to put up with while the rest of the country lives the next 10 years or so in the dark. That is, until their town is overrun by the very same problem and by then it is obviously too late.

The worst part is that the rest of the country for the most part just reads your post or mine and will pass it off as being 'racist'. You and I know that this isn't the case and for people farther north/east of the mexican border, it would only occur to them otherwise if something bad like your experience happened to them personally.

I'm glad your family wasn't hurt and am sorry that they'll be stuck with such a mess. It is not fair or right. All we can do is try to make a difference by voting this election but as you said, it probably won't even matter.

Gravatar I just read this gross case and thought of your story. Illegal or not, some English out of this guy would have been helpful:

After completing his purchases, plaintiff reached the store's exit and was approached by petitioner's employee, a Spanish-speaking security guard, who demanded to see what plaintiff was carrying under his shirt. [it was a colostomy bag, look it up on wikipedia] Plaintiff's explanation was not understood because of the guard's inability to clearly understand English, and so the guard grabbed the bag and pulled it. . . OUCH!
