Gravatar Happy New Year Q9!

An interesting read about the magic circle.

Gravatar happy new year q!

Gravatar i'd fly over and attend or visit the magic circle if i had more freedom of time and money...

is she posed to urinate into the pot?

take the first sentence seriously and the second with as much salt as necessary...

you've been into the new year for hours by now, but me, i'm just moments into it... it looks pretty much the same so far...

i wish you hilarity and happiness and infinite hope in the new year

Gravatar What spell is she concocting for the New Year do you think?
I wish you good health and happiness and many blessings for your circle this 2008.
Happy New Year.

Gravatar Interesting stuff!
Happy new year!

Gravatar Q: Wishing you bright stars, sweet dreams, deep laughter, peace in the middle of a snowstorm, and warm sunny mornings sittin' in the sun. Happy New Year! Don

Gravatar Happy New Year! I used to Circle, years ago, connected to Native American spirituality. Circles can be powerful things.

Gravatar HAPPY NEW YEAR, QUASAR!

Gravatar Happy New Year!

great post about the magic circle. I enjoyed reading it.

in fact it reminded me I need to get the salt out and go around my house once more, it's 2008 already!

Gravatar This was interesting to read. When I do my solos during vision quests in the desert, I create a circle around my space. It's powerful.

Happy New Year to you!

Gravatar Dearest Q...

Ahhhh, going back to basics!
lol
It appears we are slowly finding back our way to the "unknown" as well as “scientifically proving” that there is such thing as energy in the works... everywhere/in everything (!) in many different ways.

Given my long absence I am not sure if you have visited this topic before…
One of my favorite authors, Caroline Myss, suggests a meditation/visualization of a clear crystal that protectively surrounds us, a sort of “carry-on” version, much of my liking.

Personally, I have grown to believe that energy fields are very powerful, whether positive or negative.
Our native tradition has diverse practices to deal with such matters…

I am sure the time will soon come that we no longer refer to it as “magic” – although, I somewhat like all the thoughts the word conjures up!

For the past ten years, at the church I attend, a group of energy healers has been increasing as well as those whom seek such an alternative.
It might surprise many that the healing takes place in the isles of the church itself (symbolically) creating a triangle/pyramid as the tables are positioned – if you walk in, particularly in a sunny morning, the light rays totally create “a magical space" that is incredibly rich and moving at the same time… and so we trust…
No, this is not a hocus-pocus place; it is the United Church of Canada!
I’d say the most progressive and liberal Christian church around, in these days of increasing fundamentalism in this NA continent.

Nice to see around "my energy field" this AM, was thinking about you, wanting to hop over and give you too my heartfelt greetings dear friend,

MAY ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE
MAY ALL YOUR DAYS BE FILLED WITH
PEACE, JOY, LOVE, ABUNDANCE AND LAUGHTER...
MAY YOU KEEP AND OPEN, GRATEFUL HEART...

Zillions of dusties flowing to you
Terra, a.k.a. AngelDust

Gravatar great reads in here!

Have a great 2008! Thanks for the visit.

Gravatar Happy New Year, Quasar!

Gravatar The magic circle is reall yimportant for making a spell "stick" or to keep concentration. If you are looking to be rid of negative energies it is not recomended that you use a cirlce, as it keeps the energies too close to your person. But in other things, like purification, luck and good tidings it is an essential part of "prepping" a bind.

Also never hurts when making potions, as the effect isn't swirling out into neitherspace

the cone of power is indeed very powerful. I made a tailisman for my father-in-law because he was in a few too many car accedents and his health cannot support such things (like anyone really can.. but you get my meaning). I was affraid that he would really be injured. So i made a protection tailisman utilizing the cone of power, and he hung it off his mirror in the truck. He was in an accident a few months later. The whole truck was crumppled and the police man who helped my father in law out of the vehicle has no idea how he lived through it. Even the paramedics were shocked, because all he had was a scratch on his head.

Not many people beleive in this sort of thing, and call it coincedence. But i can tell you my father in law sure as heck beleives now.

Gravatar I should name the pub crawl of blah the magic circle! Happy new year!

Gravatar A magic circle, sounds like a nice name for friends. haha.

Happy New Years Q......I was watching a documentary on stars and planets a few night ago and thought about you......

Gravatar I'm dizzy after reading that. My dog, Momo the Wonder Dog, has a practice of making a circle before laying down to sleep. Perhaps there is magic in that!

Gravatar My master forgot to mention: Happy New Year, Quasar 9!

Gravatar By the way, my ancestors are from the Dog Star, Sirius, and came to Earth thousands of years ago. I've been there, and yet Pandabonium usually doesn't even know where he is. :p

Gravatar Happy New Year Quasar! I am wishing we will find peace this year but I imagine that's a long shot eh?

Gravatar Meu amigo adorei sua visita e o carinho! Volte, sim?
Adorei seu blog e adorei demais seu post! Tenho uma admiração especial por esses assuntos.
Por favor poderia me dizer se esse é o que chamamos de ritual da lua? Creio que esse é o ano do elemento fogo.
Feliz Ano Novo!
Beijos

Gravatar I don't know much about ancient practices such as this, but it sounds like it might have a Druid-type background.

Also the circle is indicative of Stonehenge and other circles of power around the world relating to astrology and rudimentary astronomy.

Like Terra mentioned earlier, "Ahh, back to basics".

Surf the 11D wave in peace this New Year my friend!

Gravatar What a lovely thing to do to see in the New Year. Hope 2008 is great for you.

Gravatar Happy new year buddy!

Gravatar A circle is a part of my daily prayer/meditation ritual. It's powerful, to be sure.

The New Year is fraught with possibility--what a perfect time to post about the magical possibilities of the circle.

May the circle of 2008 be magic-infused for you, Quasar!

Gravatar Do you think the magic circle might be holding in some of the power coming from far away stars?

Gravatar Hey Q9, just to let you know i tagged you for a meme If you don't want to do one in this blog (understandable) you can always post in my comments

Gravatar Very Interesting post and thanks for posting this.

And a belated Happy New Year

Stay in the moment, for that is all we have

Jimmy

Gravatar Interesting, but still this blog of Yours is magic enough to me

As usual I came to reflect upon an other circle; The one we carry with us, as a fence to whom we let in in our lives, and towards those we don't. Some people has strong circles (integrity), others more lose (diffused), and of course they are different from culture to culture, as well.

My next reflection becomes - why does this people need one more circle, besides those social ones they have at work etcetera. What kind of "magic" lays underneith? .... going home still musing

Happy New Year Dear

Gravatar Q9, have you seen Philipa's post with the poem she wanted you to enjoy?

Hope you are well.

Gravatar An interesting painting.
Happy New Year, Quasar!

Gravatar q...very interesting post. thank you for putting the effort in, as you do with all your posts. it occurs to me that circles have significance in so many different ways, being a sort of pleasing shape without end, and at the same time like a womb that envelops and comforts. the shape of the human face, walking a labyrinth in meditation, even making giant soap bubbles as a child...circles do certainly hold inside of them magical secrets.

i wish you the happiest of new years, with blessings of peace, happiness and love flowing into your life abundantly.

Gravatar Happy New Year a little late in coming.
But hope you have a great year and thank you for being such a good blogging friend...

Gravatar I don't have time to visit you everyday, this was an interesting post. I don't do magic circles, maybe I should, I think she wants me.

Gravatar Have a nice weekend Q9.

Gravatar Hi Q9, I find real magic and the occult a bit scary. Wasn't Ali Bongo a member of the 'Magic Circle'? I remember watching him when I was little. My fave was someone called Nixon I think, he always looked like someones nice dad.

But magic is still popular (just look at how many believe in 'Intelligent Design'!) Have you seen Raincoasters Fairy post? Apparently the number of comments are approaching that set by Guido's 'Peter Hitchens' post. Obviously everyone likes fairies.

Gravatar What a wonderful and informative post. I always use a circle for meditation and the few times my circle has been broken by outside interference, it was actually a physically painful experience, which just goes to show how much energy is contained within.

Happy New Year to you as well!

Peace

Gravatar Quasar9, you and your blog continue to be full of surprises! This was a very interesting read. Keep the energy flowing, whether from a giant star to a black hole companion, from the unknown beyond to the here and now, from thought to thought, or from web page to web page!

Thanks, and happy new year!

Gravatar May your circle be filled with all of the essential elements for a magical New Year!!!
