Gravatar almost looks like an eclipse... wonderful stuff out there, so much potential for creating life and all...

distance and size won't be barriers for long and then, oh the wonders we will meet

Gravatar Wonderful picture of tie dye in the sky. Before this most recent snow that is falling the sky was so clear Orion stood powerful and appeared within touch. We do not have clear skies often enough to enjoy the beauty placed above for us to view. Have a great day!!!

Gravatar I say this is *WOW* I don't get low...

Gravatar We've been finding a bevy of infant stars lately in the process of making their own solar systems.

The circle of life.

Gravatar Hi Q9, that poor moth looks like it's getting frazzled.

Gravatar Every birth is unique. Even of planets.

Gravatar "It is unclear, however, what effect passage through a cloud similar to the one in which HD 61005 finds itself would have on planet formation."

Yeah, chaos is like that.

Gravatar Beautiful yet ominous in its implications. This could very well mean there's a lot more dark, cold material in the spaces between stars than we thought. That could be spooky. What if our own solar system winds up bumping into a passing puff of dust?

Actually, it's probably very likely that it already has.

I doubt it would happen again in our lifetime, but...

Gravatar This moth is certainly attracted to the light.

Gravatar Hi Candoor,
it's all a matter of speed
sometimes it's easier to get in touch with someone thousands of miles away, than with someone just a few feet away

Gravatar Hi Pauline, Thanks!
Same to you. I'll be over in a mo or two, to drink from your wonderful well

Gravatar lol Fancy,
so has the New Year started with a bang!

Gravatar Hi dad2059,
seems the further we can see
the closer it all seems to be.
But in reality it's all still a long way away, and who knows what is really going on on the other side of the universe (supposing the universe has sides, that is).

Gravatar Hi Dr John, indeed
Every birth is unique, and every life too.
Every living thing has a story to tell.

Gravatar lol Billy Bee Cook,
Organised chaos & Random chaos are two sides of the same coin, and the story goes on & on (like duracell batteries).

Gravatar Aaah Moody Minstrel,
to live a lifetime in an instant
to hold onto an instant for a lifetime,
or to see the universe in a grain of sand
the melody is rich, a tune full of harmonies to suit all tastes, and the sky at night full of distant stars to sparkle before our eyes.

Gravatar Hi Elle,
amazingly intricate creatures moths are, perhaps even more beautiful than butterflies, yet just as delicate
yet they are irresistibly attracted to fire and to the 'hot' light, and frazzled in an instant, dust to dust.

Gravatar happy new year q!! looks more like a starburst than a moth- but still lovely.

Gravatar Hi betmo,
long time no see
starburst it is, starburst it be
Happy New Year to you too

Gravatar Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust.

Gravatar Wow! This one's a real beauty! And, lovely poetry to accompany this one.

Gravatar Wel it's all very pretty be it sunburst, tie dye, or moth.
Makes me wonder how we got here and stay here and survive here ... we seem truly unique and one-off!
