re the phrase: "חלב חטה". what is the corrrect vocalization of חלב ?

cholov, chailev or what?
is there a source?

Gravatar Thank you for the question.

"חלב חטה" should be read as cheilev chita. It is based on Tehillim 147:13 (which we say every morning as part of psukei d'zimra) and is translated as 'the fat of the wheat'. I translated it as starch based on context.
