wow! i think all of us enjoys surprises, what more if it comes from someone dear to us. that is so sweet.
my husband never fails to give me birthday surprises...now it is more special because he now includes the kids.

I will forever remember the weekend that my now husband (of 7 years last week) proposed to me. I did not know that he had actually asked my father for my hand in marriage. He took me out the entire day and then under the stars he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He caught me off guard and when we rushed back inside to tell everyone - they all knew!

a few years back, my husband surprised and treated me with a trip to maui. our kids were going on a mission trip and he had received an unexpected bonus. he told me the day before we were leaving. best surprise ever.
As silly as it sounds, it is a pair of shoes. My husband bought them for me before we even started dating. We were friends and he noticed that I needed a new pair of tennis shoes. I had liked him for a long time and when he game me those shoes I knew he must like me too. After all, what kind of guy just goes and buys a girl shoes, LOL.

My husband's marriage proposal. Totally caught me off guard and it was so romantic.
when my hubs and I got married my new sil gave us a cross stitched wedding gift. Just knowing the amount of time put into that. wow

For this past Mother's Day, my husband surprised me by buying me a lovely new briefcase. I was shocked because he usually doesn't try to buy me gifts -- instead, I just buy what I want and we consider it my gift for a particular occasion. But he went to the trouble of going to the store and working hard to finding something I would like. He succeeded! I use my new leather case all the time!
