Gravatar We love Halloween! It's so much fun getting everyone dressed up!

Gravatar malapit na pala ang halloween..

minsan mga occasions or holidays, hindi ko na alam.
kim n sascha, hindi na sasali nito.

this is good, we have children below 12 yrs. old....
kagaya sa mga anak ko, ayaw na nila...

they have halloween party, too, pero with friends nalang..........time goes so fast.

Gravatar I liked the candy best of all!

Deborah: That's one of the great highlights of Halloween.

Gravatar We love it! We love to decorate the house and dress up and visit the church carnivals and pass out candy. It's great!

@Pamela: I love the idea of carnivals. It must be so fun.

Gravatar I do! I think Halloween is so much fun! The kids are always sooooo excited and the decorations are terrific!

@Jenni: That's nice. I love seeing the excited faces of the kids as they go trick or treating.

Gravatar Yes! we enjoy so much and its a big event in our house since we have a little kid here. Last year we received one bag of candies and chocolates fro our neighbors...thanks for the visit..

@Halloween is really a fun event for little kids. Glad you enjoy this time of the year.

Gravatar We used to celebrate Halloween but a few years when I researched the meaning behind Halloween we decided not to participate anymore. Instead around that time I have a small party for the kids to celebrate the end of summer and the start of fall. We have treats and make crafts. They really enjoy it.

@1stopmom: A small party where the kids can enjoy treats and crafts sounds fun. Thanks for sharing.

Gravatar Hummm, not so much. I've never really enjoy the goblin side, but a party like you're talking about sounds fun. :)

@Sher: Yes, the party is always one of the highlights of the year in our village especially for the kids.

Gravatar Growing up we never really celebrated Halloween. My Father actually has done seminars on the dangers of Halloween.. I think because it was so important growing up for us to not celebrate the holiday.. that its hard for me now as an adult married with children to celebrate the day! I mean the candy I want the candy haha! But for me personally there is too much other things and meaning behind Halloween that really deters me from making it a tradition!

@Tara: Thanks for sharing that. There are other more fun holiday traditions that you and your family can enjoy.

Gravatar Yup, we do the traditional "begging of candy from neighbors" every year. This year will be nice since it falls on a four day weekend for my boys.

@Aloha Monkey: How nice! A long 'Halloween weekend' sounds wonderful.

Gravatar Yes! Now that I have a child it's even more fun to celebrate Halloween...but I've always loved Halloween because I get to eat lots of candy =)

@SageMom: Yes, it's fun celebrating Halloween when you have little children at home.

Gravatar i do remember your village's annual halloween celeb. gosh, i need to buy axel another costume.

@Evi: This year we're not buying one anymore. My MIL sent Yohan a costume that he can wear this year. Can't wait to find out what Axel will be wearing.

Gravatar We don't celebrate it at all. I know trick or treating is fun, but I wish it could be moved to a public location and not to our doors. If you don't celebrate you have to shut your house up and close curtains and hide at the back of the house or have 100s of kids at your door. Even with lights out we get persistent kids at the door.
They don't understand why some people wouldn't participate, I know that, but it is frustrating for me when I just want to live normally and can't on that day.

@Qtpies7: I understand. In our village it is not compulsory to join the trick or treat. People who want to giveaway treats to the kids often decorate their house as a sign that they are joining the festivities.

Gravatar My kids love Halloween, I even decorate the house for it.

@Tammy: That's nice! We also decorate our place during Halloween.

Gravatar not really

@It's only now that I'm a grown up that I'm able to appreciate Halloween.

Gravatar Halloween is a fun holiday for us. Mind you a lot has changed since my childhood thanks to people ruining the fun nature of the day with pranks.

This year is going to be hard for me to be happy. My hubby is going away for a wedding and will not be with us.

@TheAngelForever: It's sad when people ruin the day doing all sorts of pranks. Sorry to hear that. I'm sure you're going to miss him.

Gravatar My father (RIP) is in Laguna and we spend our Halloween there. Not many activities, just family reunion. Nice day! I joined the Aloha Friday posting. thksfor ur site heart! of R

@Cora: My hubby's side also have a family get together when we go to the cemetery to visit his grandparents.

Gravatar Good for you =)

There is not much of activities around here during halloween =(

@You can always have your own fun activity with the kids at home.

Gravatar Halloween is big in our house. Our 3 ids always try and dress up in some kind of theme. One year the 5 of us dressed up as the gang from Scooby Doo and all of our friends got such a kick out of it! I love Halloween! Makes me feel like a kid again.

@Spice: I could just picture how happy your home is during Halloween.

Gravatar Halloween was not a big deal when I was growing up. But I do remember the costume parties in college. I never wore one though. It's good that the kids of today are enjoying themselves with these parties.

@Em Dy: Same here. I didn't even experience trick or treating when I was a child. I'm glad that my son can experience this fun occasion.

Gravatar I don't celebrate Halloween but it's fun to see the costume people wear. :)

@Alice: It's really fun watching the kids dress up during Halloween.

Gravatar Halloween is so very BIG at our house!! I love Halloween. My DIL told me yesterday that my 8 year old grandson wants to have a Halloween party. I asked if I could help and she laughed saying, "It's going to be at your house!" :)

@Cathi: Ha! Ha! Looks like you have a big Halloween party to plan. Have fun!
