Heart of Rachel

Gravatar glad nothing serious happened. i received a pressure cooker as a gift but we never used it. takot ako e because i saw the same accident as yours sa house ng cousin ko. kaya, slow cook na lang kami sa uling instead of using the pressure cooker.

Gravatar thank goodness, you are safe, Rach! it is always good to have first aid kit in the house.

Gravatar Hi Rachel,

It's good you that you were safe and you just had a minor burn. We don't have a pressure cooker at home for safety reasons.

Thank you very much for always visiting my site and leaving your comments and thank you for always giving me an award.

regards,
nina

Gravatar Thank and Praise God that you're okay... guess it just proves that Pressure Cooker is a real great help, but definitely dangerous too... take care, Rachel...

@Mikky: Yes, it's a great cooking aid but terribly dangerous.

Gravatar This happened to my father in law one time. A chicken blew up in the pressure cooker. They were picking that thing out of light fixtures, the vent a hood, and off the ceiling but thankfully no one was in the kitchen and nobody was hurt!

I'm glad you're okay. It could have been a bad situation!

@Tisha: Glad to know no one got hurt. It also made a mess in our kitchen so I could imagine what your FIL went through.

Gravatar Hey, how are you? How big was the burn? I hope you're better. Me, I always have a tube of burnt ointment in the kitchen cupboard myself.

@Philos: At first the redness was a big as my palm. I applied burn ointment on it and after a few hours the redness disappeared leaving eight red puncture like marks on my tummy. Those marks are healing well.

Gravatar nay, that's bad! that happened to us also, our pressure cooker literally flew from the stove down to the floor. it made a really horrible sound. my mom and her friend were in the kitchen table close to the stove, and luckily, a way bit off from the flying pressure cooker. it was soooo scary.

i'm glad you and yohan are safe, it could be worse.

take care rach!

@Odette: It really made a horrible sound then the kitchen was filled with smoke. It was quite messy too. I'm glad to know your mom and her friend didn't get hurt from that incident.

Gravatar Oh my gosh!!!! Its a good thing nothing really really serious happened to you. Burns hurt a lot.

@Louann: The burns don't hurt anymore. I'm really grateful that I wasn't hurt badly.

Gravatar thanks, wlang masamang nangyari sa iyo.

dangerous nga yon pressure cooker, lalo na yon my parang knot sa taas ng cover.

i saw this in my sister, they have still the old style.
here wla na ito, kasi dangerous daw ang techniq....

ingat ka dyan, mabuti wlang nangyari sa iyo.

hope your burns sa arm mo, ok na....

thanks minor lang....

@Vicki: I never imagined something like that would happen to me. We're thinking of getting a new pressure cooker one of these days.

Gravatar Oh gosh it's good the ref's door shielded you from further harm. How scary naman. Do be careful next time you use it again.

@Daphne: I was getting something from the ref when it happened. I'm glad I was spared from major injury because of the ref door.

Gravatar OMG ! you indeed were very lucky ! It could have killed you !

@Gattina: It was really scary but I feel fortunate that I'm OK.

Gravatar I'm just glad you're ok, albeit the minor burns. Take care of yourself.

@Rache: Thank you. The pain and discomfort are gone now.

Gravatar so sorry to hear that. it's great to know you and your family is ok.

thanks for the tip!

@Bonnie and Jeff: Thank you. I'm glad you appreciate my small tip.

Gravatar I'm so glad to know that you're OK, Rachel. Thank God!

@Alice: I feel very lucky that I didn't end up with bad burns.

Gravatar Thank God that you're ok!!
I was so shocked when I read the first few lines, praying as I read that you'll be fine. I'm relieved that you were not badly hurt.
Take care. Watch out for blisters and go see a doctor.
*hugs*

@ECL: I truly appreciate the concern. I'm applying ointment daily and the burns are healing fast.

Gravatar That's scary! I was about to buy a new one as the rubber of our old pressure cooker is already loose. Now I have to think twice and many times if we really want to use one.. Thank goodness nothing serious happened to you. God bless!

@Loren: I think that the worn out rubber on our pressure cooker is also the culprit. Thanks for your concern.

Gravatar Rachel, you are very fortunate. When I was a child, a pressure cooker literally took off my mother's friends roof.

I'm so glad to hear that your burn are minimal. Sorry you got hurt.

@Shoshana: Oh my, that was terrible. I feel much better now. The burns are very minor and healing fast.

Gravatar Oh my gosh!! I'm glad nothing too serious happened and good that your son was not thyere too. Good tip - I should buy that burn ointment too.

@Jade: Yes, it's really advisable to have some burn ointment handy.

Gravatar Accidents do happen in the most unexpected time, i'm glad you are okay now.

@Sheng Marie: Thank you. I feel a whole lot better today.

Gravatar How awful! I'm glad you are okay, and that your son wasn't around when it happened!

Thanks for stopping by today!

@Staci: It was a terrible accident but I still feel lucky that nothing serious happened..

Gravatar This happened when I went home at my parents house last summer. Dad was the cook so, he got it all covered without a burn. Hope everything will be fine with you now. Pero pagsakit pa much better if you consult a doctor for that..

@Yen: I'm glad your father didn't get any burns from that incident. Thanks for the concern. I'm really happy because the pain is totally gone.

Gravatar I'm glad to hear you're ok and that Yohan was nowhere near the kitchen. That sounds scary.

@Dexie: It was really scary and it happened so fast. I'm so thankful Yohan was far away when it happened.

Gravatar OMG! Rach, are you okay? that's scary. I remember everytime my mom uses her pressure cooker, she would always warn us not to come close to it. I don't own one. I don't think I will.

@Evi: It was really an unfortunate incident but I'm so glad nothing serious happened. I don't think I'll be going near the kitchen when the pressure cooker is active.

Gravatar thank God you and your family are ok.

you should still see the doctor for that burn..

@Jo: Thanks for the concern. The minor burns on my stomach are healing well.

Gravatar oh boy, thats bad. you're right, it could have been worse. don't use that pressure cooker anymore. i hope those minor burns get better asap. take care :)

@Cookie: We're thinking of getting a new one soon. We don't want to risk another mishap in the kitchen. Thanks for the concern.

Gravatar good that nothing really serious happened, and thank God you are ok.

@Girlie: I'm really grateful that nothing serious happened.
