The minor north-south divide in Britain is much less than the major one in Italy. Look at this map to understand. In Italy, every region in the south is poorer than every region in the north. In no other country of Europe can you find such a strongly dichotomous pattern, only east-west Germany comes close, and that is because East Germany used to be communist. [Insult deleted.
