Gravatar What's more paradoxal about Howard is, listening to him even today, sometimes he will refer to his wife on-air despite his girlfriend. And when Robin corrects him, he says, Whatever. We were married forever. She's the mother of my kids. (Or something close to that.) I still love him for his expose of bullshit in the media.

She's a golddigger, and he knows it. He's said on the air that if he wasn't who he was, he'd never in a million years have a chick like beth on his arm. What's surprising to me is that he can tolerate that airhead talking for more than a few seconds. It disappoints me when intelligent men can't handle an equal as a partner. But then, in howards case...you get what you pay for. She's an airhead who wraps her life around his and does what he says. I guess to a control freak, this is ideal. But still...does she have to talk?

Gravatar What's that saying, if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with? My understanding is that Allison grew tired of the life, money and fame, therefore initated the divorce. He went along with it because he loves her and wanted what's best for his daughters which is a much less hectic, public lifestyle. I could be wrong. I didn't know they divorced until a few years after the fact, so I'm still playing catch up.

I just googled alison stern, and found out that she remarried two years after the divorce to someone described as a "gazillionaire"

Gravatar Wow. Weird. I would have thought she went the other way given she used to be in social work. Huh.
