Sorry Rad, just cannot agree that this guy is even remotely funny. I watched it a couple of times when I was in the UK and it got my back up. To me, it just rates up there with the folks from "Jackass".

I suppose I was reacting the the overt racism that I witnessed while living in the UK. I just don't find it funny when people make fun of other people. There's assholes in every culture however there are also a lot of good people.

I do agree that too much has been made of this whole thing in the States. If they just kept their mouths shut, then this guy would fall off the radar and there would be no issue.

It's all in one's tastes and I admit sometimes I even watch the Jackass stuff.
As far as Mahir goes, that was funny I visited his site, two bits of trivia, Izmir has as many people give or take a couple as Croatia, and I noticed nice nude studies didn't count as pictures of people in his listing! Yeah I think Borat is a steal of Mahir's schtik!

I think that a lot of Kazakhs felt very insulted, but then again I got questions at school like 'Is there really a place called 'Kazakhstan'? 'Where are they?'

There is in American Jewish humor sort of a making fun of the low-brow type humor, sort of like Kinky Friedman down in Texas, he had a band back in the 1970s called 'Kinky Friedman and the Texas JewBoys'
