Ok, I admit it. I don't get Second Life. I tried it out and was impressed with the amount of work people have done on it building virtual shops and houses but after exploring for an hour, I realized that it's just an elaborate pretty chat program. And I hate socializing!
Oh but it's also a chicks shopping and dress up dream! LOL

Because her postings were so full of unhappiness and anguish, I commented on her blog, telling her that she didn't have to put up with it. She replied to me by chastizing me and telling me that I come in contact with people of her lifestyle daily. My hairdresser, the quiet girl in the next cubicle, my accountant....and so on. It made me think about peoples hushed lives. It's fucked up.
