Gravatar This is a very timely post for me, Radmila. I know two couples who got married last summer, and BOTH have since announced that they are splitting up after less than one year of marriage.

All the friends were shocked, but we're also rather pissed off. We all spent a TON of cash on their "big days", so we think there should be "wedding gift insurance" - if a couple can't stay married for at least one year, we should all get a damn refund!

Weddings are no longer an event you go to as a guest...it's become something for you to subsidize. I think that's what really bothers me about weddings. I'll say this ad nauseam: When the mister and me married, we invited people as our guests to celebrate our marriage. We actually told people not to bring gifts. Many did...because they're programmed to do so...and we appreciated the gesture, but we didn't expect it...or worse inform them on the invitation "monitary gifts preferred". Geyad...I hate circus like/"monitary" grab weddings.

Gravatar I think Adam is just holding on until Jodi lets him past first base. Six years of making-out with no heavy petting keeps the heart growing fonder...

I dunno, the law of averages is against high school sweethearts making it all the way...
