Gravatar Aren't people alike the world over! These two could be peasants in Serbia. There are very few clues to differentiate them as being from any particular country in Europe.

It's true

Gravatar It's interesting that he chose to take photo's of his subjects sitting around the table.

I looked at most of them. The ones taken in Italy and Bulgaria brought tears to my eyes because I thought of my dede and babe, their lives and all the hardships they had endured. I also couldn't help but wonder about the lives of the people represented in the photographs. They moved me.

However, as interesting as they were to look at, I had no emotional conncetion to the ones taken in Japan.

Thank you for this link. It is beautiful.

This one could have been taken in Tetka Ankica's cooking house:

Gravatar I looked at quite a few of his photos - the Japanese ones seemed quite affluent. The ones in Great Britain had many books in the rooms. The mister and I visited one of the villages in Spain (La Alberca) and it was like being dropped into the 17th century.... so eerie.

Gravatar You are absolutely right!
