did you read my mind? I have a total fascination with dollhouses and intend on getting one... you know me and miniatures......
There's a specialty shop on Mt. Pleasant just south of Eglinton...you should check it out. It's ridiculous expensive though.

I never really enjoyed playing with the dolls, however I did enjoy setting up house for them.
I used to use your mother's Mary Kay pink travelling kits!
That's hilarious.

I still want a dollhouse ..I love them ..
my sisters and I use to make babydolls out of soda bottles and toilet paper ..
I loved my childhood
I love to look at them...I used to make dolls out of corn cobs when I was little. I used the silk for their hair. LOL.

Never got into dolls much, but whenever I did, the dog would eat it out from under the Christmas tree like clockwork every single year. Very traumatic for me.
On a side note: the use of the word ghetto... Have you ever read threads online about ghetto lattes? Read the comments from a few of the pages and see how bent out of shape people get at the use of the word ghetto in a derogatory manner. IE: Your dollhouse was very ghetto, in that it was crude, cheaply done and not a lot of money (if any) was spent on it. People flip out over this sort of slagging. Seriously, I grew up in public housing and I don't get upset over the use. Then again, I'm not American, nor am I black. seems those two types of people are the ones taking offense.
This would be a great blog post subject for you to tackle. I would love to read what you have to say about it from your own personal experience slant.
It's interesting how people decide to take ownership over words. Ghetto used to belong to European Jews. But, to me it just means cheaply done, as mostly poor people do things because they have no choice.
And there's no shame in that...You know, I'd do a post about it if I cared even a little about people who actively look for things to get offended about.
