Captain Obvious strikes again...nice to know we're safe from logic once again. 
Only takes one "stolen" election to shake the faith in the system and piss off the losers. We've already had that (and I'm not talking Harrison/Cleveland here). There'll be much tearing of clothing and gnashing of teeth, but nothing will come of it. In the current political climate no amendment is going to make it by the states, no matter what it is.
The Electoral College will stand for the remainder of my life time. Yup...time to move back to Virginia where my vote will really count.

It's sad you guys are still trolling that "stolen election" meme from 2000. Yet you can't explain that in the face of this supposed "stolen election" why the same Americans who could've rendered Bush powerless by electing a Democrat majority in 2002 instead did the unprecedented and elected a Republican majority. You also can't explain why the American public who was supposedly robbed by Bush, et al. re-elected him with a 3 million-plus vote margin of victory.
You cling to that bogus claim of fraud and conveniently ignore the real fraud. You don't care about disenfranchisement of anyone when a Democrat "wins".
