Prabhu,
U r right.Greg is a tough customer to deal.He deals fact to face. And given the inconcistency of our team we need a ring master to keep everyone focused.

Raj,
i guess John Wright was able to contribute bcos of his attitude and temperament (he got on well with the likes of Ganguly, sachin and rahul)
Greg is a tough aussie. as aggressive and cocky as they come.
What will be his equation with saurav or any other team captain?
I am told his relationship with Saurav is really good. But then things can be different if one gets to interact with a person everyday..

Narayanan,
Its true that we have good people around. But still most of our people are not thorough professionals as Aussies.May be its time for us to learn what they do different from us and start following it.From the begining we have been trying Indian coaches. But it was John wright who achieved a lot than others. If you are able to afford foreign coach and get the results the go fot it.

The Indian press were writing about Greg Chappel for a while now and as expected here he is.
My question - Don't we have our local greats to coach.? Why Chappell. Does Chappell have any special qualifications which Gavaskar/Kapil Dev/Viswanath/Brijesh Patel .... doesn't have.? Does he have 2 horns.
And please don't mistake me, Greg chappel was a wonderful player and he might be a good coach as well. I wish him the very best.!
