I agree this is not unusual. Fraternal twins having different fathers is quite easy to understand conceptually and realistically.

the likelihood of heteropaternity in the case of the australian case seems quite low. there aren't many blacks in australia.

In this last case, the difference seems particularly small. Where I come from I think it wouldn't be regarded as that unusual. I've seen cases like it a lot, in ordinary siblings, though (not twins - my twin database being small).

the genetic model gets more complex cuz real races are defined by a multidimensional array of traits. but i guess theoretically it could work out that way (though that depends on the race in question, tiger is only 1/8 native american)....
