John Kerry and later Barack Obama were nominated as the Democratic Presidential nominees having the most extreme left-wing voting records of all Senators in Washington . Why in an country that self-identifies as right of center do you feel it's crazy for Conservatives to pick the most conservative candidates, but that that same logic doesn't apply to Democrats who with Barack Obama won the White House from the most extreme fringe of the left wing?
Oh cripes, forget what I said. I didn't notice this was a left-wing blog when I wrote the above comment. OF COURSE you want Republicans to nominate guys like McCain. Nevermind.
