I know the Lake if the Isles mugging is true because my friend was the victim. They cleaned out his pockets and still have his apartment keys.
The interesting thing is that they used his Wells Fargo ATM card at several locations around town. He works for Wells Fargo so he can get the camera photos of his attackers.
The stupid thing is that the Police still might not investigate even if he hands them hard evidence.
The word is out. You can rob people in Mpls and get away with it. The criminals also know that they encounter less resistance and get more money in the upscale neighborhoods.
So when walking Mpls. streets at night, expect to be assaulted.

this is a good reason for a previous victim to think of moving out of Hennepin Cty. if they can. and yes this is what the crooks do.
happens alot in the suburbs where the crooks will steal a purse, wallet and bop around to different bix bog stores trying to use the credit cards.i remember one story about an african-american woman trying to use the stolen driver's license of a white woman as ID. what a hoot
