I hope to hell he is indicted. But it kind of makes you wonder, doesn't it, why he went back there voluntarily five times?
He could have pled the Fifth Amendment
at any point and been no worse off. Something doesn't add up in this case.
Is he falling on his sword for Cheney? If so, what's the quid pro quo?
A guaranteed pardon, maybe. That would explain everything. Appear cooperative and honest, get indicted anyway, but then get pardoned...as promised to you in advance. Robert Lockwood Mills | Homepage | 05.08.06 - 9:09 pm Direct link to this comment

Rove is going down and don't expect there to be a pardon at the bottom of the river when we all get out of the boat. This entire administration is going to come completely unglued before this is all over and once the blood is in the water you are going to see a feeding frenzy like we've never seen before in America. There is a lot of pent up whoop ass in this country right now and once Alpa Dog starts to stagger it's gonna get ugly fast. As people start coming forward and spilling the beans on the corruption and treasonous activites of this administration... these guys may well hang.
It can't happen a day to soon in my opinion. Stolentime | Homepage | 05.08.06 - 9:34 pm Direct link to this comment
Maybe folks wanted to give him time to set up the election apparatus for 06 so the GOP doesn't lose Congress. Who knows! Whether or not they indict him is irrelevant to me. His hands, his signature, is all over the Valerie Plame incident. That's the kind of dirty, backroom manuevering he specializes in. He and Dick Cheney. Only Cheney would have the arrogance to initiate this kind of action. I think they should both be in jail and George Bush should be impeached, tried and indicted for high cromes and misdemeanors. This is the filthiest group of pond scum to ever sit in the houses of government. I am ashamed and embarrassed for my country. moonbeams | Homepage | 05.08.06 - 9:41 pm Direct link to this comment
It goes past Rove, he was not a Senior Department head. He didn't have clearance to see anything on the matter originally, his Boss is liable as a result.
His "fair game" statement belies intent, Fitz has established anyone viewing the information would be obliged to uphold guidelines for classified/top secret materials.
That Rove even got that far to view such is a crime. Still people above him are who the law applies its toughest standards to past intent.
Anyone have the ability to verify "official A" because if it is not a direct Fitzgerald quote it is probably grey mail/a smokescreen or perhaps honestly obtuse in the reporter's case.
We know better of the Bush people at this time given their track record. Mr.Murder | Homepage | 05.08.06 - 9:57 pm Direct link to this comment
Let us join in holy genuine prayer unto Heaven and Creator that Justice be done unto Karl Rove. The pencil in his hand has done more damage to more people ... Except for Rumsfeld... Cheney... Poppy... "Big Mike" Chertoff... Scooter... Shrub-a-dub-dub...
Cast them out. Knaves one and all. Mercy is being beggared by means of criminal buggery - and look who's in the barrel business too!
Candles: One flame makes for a Crossroads. Two make for a Gate. Free Low-Cost Advice: Spark 'em up well (and add a reverent touch of decent Lemongrass Oil as a "New Orleans-Style Booster" of a mystickal "dressing"!). In Sacramental Silence, merely address Holy Creator aright (and speak NOT unto any agent of that Hot Stinky Place but to banish that one to its Rightful Abode!).
Lost for words? OK. "Creator! Kind Holy Creator!" tends to prove adequate as an opener. "'Scuse me, Sir..." tends to be well-received too following the initial address.
Our lives' quality - even its very fulfillment - depends on all of us who ever will reverently up 'n' doin' just such things as that, I daresay. Guys such as Cheney are the Blackguard Wrecking Crew of the political world. They are not of Heaven's Sphere at all as things stand.
The good news is this: Those who have foresworn Love to embrace the Ring are more *vulnerable* than amenable to the Weapon of Prayer, one may ones' self learn with time and experience.
Collateral Reading: "Horton Hears a Who" by Dr. Seuss.
Glass jar-candles from your local /botanica,/ /groceria,/ or the supermarket Ethnic Foods aisle are both safe and effective. Tapers and other naked wax items *do* burn houses down. But Goya Aisle jar-candles aren't known as "60-millimeter Clown Guns" for nothing. Especialy when well oiled with genuine reverence.
Write Heaven a personal note well-expressed on your best paper and with your best pen. Put it under the candle before sparking it up. It's a Quantum Boundaries Thing.
See luckymojo dot com for plenty more well-referenced and -related motifs and procedures if this mode of prayer is a New Thing. Fire away with reverent, compassionate care for all that we have not already been robbed of by this bunch in this life - including our immortal souls. (Be sure to give thanks for sheer Being.)

Stop refering to this crime of treason as the outing of Valerie Plame. Refer to is from now on as the destruction of Brewster Jennings. A far more heinous, and far reaching crime.
Outing one agent really sucks. They destroyed one of our best assets in fighting the real war on terror, and tracking WMD's. Brewster Jennings CIA front company.
Do you feel safer at night now knowing the CIA operatives of Brewster Jennings are either slain, imprisoned, or put out of commission by KARL ROVE, DICK CHENEY, SCOOTER LIBBY, and GEORGE BUSH, and can no longer try to track WMD's in Iran?
It is not the Valerie Plame / Wilson outing crime. It is the destruction of Brewster Jennings crime. Let's frame it properly!
It is the high treason by Novak, and his friends that after being told by the CIA twice "Do not use her name" Novak did it anyway! He must have had some high up cover!
No other reporters would write the story. They knew it was TREASAON! Ask Matt Cooper, and Judith (sleazy liar) Miller why they did not write the story. See what they say. Ask Bob Woodward. Not even Watergate Bob would do Rove's dirty work on this act of treason.....
WORD AROUND TOWN
In truth, The Bush Family is in total control : W must be protected at all costs. Sacrifices will be necessary. Cheney and Rove will both fall on their swords. They will be portrayed as failing their president.
The Bush Family will continue to bring their sinister agenda (New World Order/globilization/martial law) to fruition. Texans Against Babs and Poppy | Homepage | 05.08.06 - 11:13 pm Direct link to this comment

Is he including AIPAC?
This enemy that is within...the one who insists that we bomb Iran...how will Scarborough and other True Conservatives feel when the leader of their party sets off on his radical agenda to rule the world, without the support of the American People?
I met a man this past weekend who is a lifelong Republican, deeply entrenched in the Political Machinery of Boston for the past two decades. Our talk turned to politics and the state of affairs and the media's role in this country today.
He is completely demoralized. He has seen the end of the slippery slope where money and politics is concerned - and he can't wait to get out. He is fed up with the hypocricy and the lies, and thinks that Bush is a complete disaster for the Republican Party and for the country.
There is an awakening that is occuring in this country across all political boundaries. If anything - the polls are undercounting the discontent.
When you lose people who have labeled themselves as died-in-the-wool Republicans, who are part of the Republican machine in a major US City, whose very livelihood is dependent on towing the party line, it is truly over.
At some point, decency and morality trump party affiliation. We're all American's, and we need to fight "the enemy within", together.

You know, Plunger, I'm a life-long Democrat and I feel the same way about the Democratic Party. Their crime is that they sat by and acquiesced to every thing that W has done with hardly a peep. I think that's nearly as depicable as seeing the Republicans go along with it all. At least they had a reason, that is, protecting their Chimperor. I'll be voting for any Green Party candidates that come along. Maybe Al could be convinced to run as a Green. Maybe all those who have stood up to tyranny like Russ Feingold, Robert Byrd, Gov. Dean should switch to the Green Party. My worst fear and the Republicans only hope is that we will have Hillary (who has stood by and done NOTHING) as our presidential candidate.
