Well stated. I am not happy about the tactics McCain used, but if becomes our nomination I will have to support him. Not for myself, but for all of those who have gone out before me to defend our beloved country. I cannot let them down now. I must put aside my disappointment (I wanted Duncan Hunter), and get behind the candidate. Do you remember Bob Dole? Argghhhhhh.

How the best candidates were eliminated early will make a great dissertation for some Poly Sci grad student.
Right now, don't know who I'm going to vote for.
First, every party has a certain percentage of nuts. Our nuts were drawn to the ultimate nut, Ron Paul.
So 5-8% of the vote is still wasted.
Depending on how you look at it, Huckabee and Romney are splitting the conservative vote, allowing McCain to win.
And a memo to all future Republican candidates. Follow the program, start early, campaign in Iowa and New Hampshire or share the fate of Fred and Rudy.

You may not believe this, but I agree with you, too. I do not want Romney anywhere near the White House, however. His Romneycare which is forced on the people of his state is falling apart all over the place. They are going to be asking for the feds to come in and bail them out. I say, "NO!" It's your mess. You created it. You fix it.
I sure am tired of feeling like we are the only ones on earth that can 'fix' everything with absolutely NO ONE taking responsibility for their own actions. No wonder our children are in so much trouble.
BTW, whoever the nominee is, I will end up supporting him. Not with any kind of enthusiam, but I have to put everything aside and remember our troops. That's the big deal for me.

I respectfully disagree with your ultimate choice Rosemary. And I do so based on issues. He's a tax hiker, he's a nanny stater, he hasn't a clue as to foreign policy, and he's a pro-illegal alien Republican. In other words, another RINO. There is a reason why Huckster hasn't said an unkind word about Juan MexiCain. They are in bed together.
They know that he is pulling support away from Romney in his shill campaign.
And OH, your poll numbers are a bit off. MexiCain is polling at 33%, Romney at 30%, Huckster at 22%, and Paul at 6%. If you factor in a +/-4% margin of error that comes to 95%. Rasmussen states their poll with 95% confidence. This accounts for the polling.
At this rate, 570 delegates are needed, MexiCain has 93, Romney 77, and Huckster 40. These are the real numbers to pay attention to.

Dear Stageleft,
No. They're just glad if anyone shows up!
Dear David,
I LOVE IT! Have you heard of Grizzly Groundswell? It's a politically active group that I've been participating in to try to get back to basics. There is also David Jeffers and Understanding Evangicals. I've been receiving very good e-mails from him and many people on his mailing list. Very interesting. Would you like me to e-mail it to you? Let me know.

For the record, it's a fact that ALL of the candidates left in the race are coldblooded liars.
Yes, even Ron Paul.
Personally, I'm for a grassroots movement to restore decency in government by instituting a required "None of the above" on ALL races, local, state and federal, and instilling it in States' and Federal constitutions. If "None of the above" recieves a plurality of the vote, then ALL candidates for that race would be thrown out and a new slate drafted for a new election.
With any luck, we could empty State houses and D.C. in just a few elections...
*heh*

You could always spoil your ballot, instead of voting, write 'em a nice little note telling them that you refuse to participate in a failed system. I make a regular pilgrimage to the polls every 4 years or so to do just that - it's illegal but I figure they need to be told.
Out of curiosity, is spoiling your ballot also against the law down there?
