Hey, Rosemary,
I don't know what part of California you live in but I hope you haven't been affected by the fires. I truly hope you and yours are well.
I've been so tied up that I haven't had time to keep up with everybody especially after Blogger was blocked by my company. Now I have no link to reality
Keep in touch.

Duncan Hunter *sigh* He killed his appeal to me with things like his support for a "Constitutional Amendment Defining Marriage". NOT the place of the federal goivernment! Typical "I'm from the government; I'm here to help" thinking. ALWAYS a bad sign when a politician demonstrates a lack of understanding (or respect for) of the Founders' aims in devising a federal republic of STATES (which meant then, countries--just as it does when used by the STATE Department). Hunter is an almost perfect example of a politician who's embraced a warped kind of federalism that has grown to be the kind (if not--yet--the degree) of central planning authority model of government we are familiar with from the Soviet Union.
Nope. Unless in this and other issues Hunter were to embrace genuine federalism, leaving to the States and The People the responsibilities for laws concerning those things most intimately affecting the lives of individuals, I could never support him. He reminds me of R.L Dabney's 19th century comment concerning his day's soi disant conservatives,
“Conservatism’s history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution, to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward to perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader. This pretended salt hath utterly lost its savor: wherewith shall it be salted? Its impotency is not hard to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It tends to risk nothing serious for the sake of truth.”
Embracing the leftards' view that the federal government should regulate every aspect of our lives (for that is what meddling in marriage at the Constitutional level does) when such things are the proper purview of State and local governments indicates that despite his much-vaunted "conservative" credentials, Hunter is just another "Leftard Lite".
Contrast and compare Hunter's positions with Fred Thompson's Drill down a bit. While some of them are similar, Thompson is much, much closer to the Framers than any candidate since Reagan--and closer in some regards than Reagan was, with a voting and job record to support it. (OK, apart from his embrace of the loony fringe nutjob truther support and his right/wrong view on Iraq, Ron Paul is perhaps even

I personally like Duncan Hunter. That is who I am supporting. Romney is making things up as he goes along. If you really would like to know who is in the lead, disregard the National polls. You have to go state by state. That is how we elect our president.
I have decided to post all of my writings here, so you did run into one of my Christian posts. I also will be posting my human rights, animals, and everything under the sun over here at this site. I got so tired of having to go from one site to the other.
I am doing quite well. How did school go? Did you graduate? I heard from your site or an e-mail that you were going to be on a panel. How did that go? If you wrote about it, please send a trackback. Even though you may not belong to Linkfest, don't feel as though you cannot participate. You are always welcome here.

I've come back from long silence. Actually, I have been posting on my blog.
Now, you've come back to political issues again! Mitt Romney article sounds interesting, as the election is coming.
I thought you have changed this blog into that of religion when I stopped by some posts a few weeks (or days?) ago.
By the way, who's likely to win the presidential race?
