Boycotting the ballot seems like a good idea, but once it is carried out it leads to disaster. Iran boycotted the ballot the vote, and we got Ahmadinejad! Argghhh!
We just have to get the people we KNOW to run. That way, we have (maybe) half a chance...lol

I just woke up, so I'm a little frisky. You know how us elderly people are...NOT! (I'm not elderly. I'm a young 48. lol)
Disgust and cynicism (don't forget the cynicism) are good things when it comes to politicians and their governments.
When was the last time that you had a President or we had a Prime Minister that didn't get to their position by deceit, and then continue to deceive the masses for the length of their terms?
When was the last time that either of our governments was actually accountable to the people they pretend to serve and represent?
I made a special ballot for our last federal election, feel free to make use of it.

PS: Don't vote, it only encourages them. If enough of us refuse to legitimize by our votes the flawed systems that are forced upon us they'll eventually have to pay attention.

Frankly, I'm fed up with the Presidential races as well. I can't recall a time in my lifetime when there has been so poor of a group running for the highest public office in the United States. I agree, Fred Thompson is the only one of the Republicans who is solidly liberal. McCain sure as heck isn't a conservative. He's a wolf (liberal) in sheep's (conservative) clothing. Huckabee keeps claiming to be conservative but his record as Arkansas governor shows otherwise. Romney has flip-flopped on so many issues he's untrustworthy. Guilliani has problems with some conservative issue such as gun control. And Ron Paul is a racist, anti-semite nutcase.
However with all that said, every single Republican is head-and-shoulders better than Obama, Edwards and Clinton.
