Gravatar I hope time does speed up for you, HisWife, but it will still seem like forever. That is, until he is once again in your loving and comforting arms.

I am sorry to hear this, Frank. I pray your son is alright. I do not know who told the taliban, but I can take a guess. It's the same one as yours. I will never know, for the life of me, why we stopped after Kabul. It does not make sense. We should have gone all the way into Kandahar, and not let one single terrorist go. Why we gave them their government so soon I will never understand. I know if we had taken charge, their would not be the poppy problem we face today.

With all that said and with our troops' arms tied behind their back, I'm so proud of the good they are accompling WITHOUT the help our government. These are the best and brightest group of men and women God has ever blessed us with. I pray we honor them properly.

I accidently stated they were Iraq at the end. Oops! I have to go back and fix that, eh?

God bless you both for all of your love and sacrifice for strangers such as me. I am truly grateful. Godspeed.

Gravatar Thanks, for picking up this article, my son was present as he lost two friends and was shot four times himself during this event. From what I saw of the ABC nightline show on Nov 12, the village elders support the taliban, on the same day as this report c 503rd lost soldiers returning from a meeting with elders in a village. Who told the taliban they were there?

Gravatar As one of the wives of a soldier in the "Dragon Platoon" I just wanted to say, as emotionally exhausting this deployment has been so far, I am so proud of my husband. I love you, I miss you so much. I'm really proud of our soldiers, our wives back here and
Im praying for you all and I wish time would hurry up so you can all come home and go back to normal lives.
