Gravatar Dear Amy,

I am touch in someone right now who is working devotedly on just this issue. I will be writing more about this, you can believe that. Right now I have some things to clear up, then I am going to give it the time it deserves.

I do not about the Christians Solidarity thing, though. I usually do not get involved with such groups I do not know or sound like they came right out of the USSR! (Russia, before it fell.) That's just me though. I will, however, keep people aware of the struggles of our saints. Thank you for your kind words, and God bless you.

Gravatar Rosemary,

After reading your April 19 post, I thought your readers would be interested in signing the Petition to Save Iraqi Christians by Christian Solidarity International and others.

As you know, the Christian community in Iraq currently faces possible extinction as a result of religious persecution and ongoing national instability. Men, women and children are not just caught in the crossfire; they are targeted by Islamic extremists because of their Christian faith.

With your help, Save Iraqi Christians can be a powerful catalyst to ensure displaced Christians and other non-Muslim minorities are able to return to their homeland and live and practice their faith in peace. You can help put an end to the persecution of Christians and other religious minorities by:

Signing a petition (http://www.helpiraqichristians.com/pages.asp? pageid=70865) which encourages the U.S. government and United Nations to act.

Please sign today!

Gravatar Excellent article! Thanks for keeping us aware!

Gravatar Heh hem, you should have SEEN me laugh...

Gravatar I thank you for not sending the Library of Iraq!

My inbox gets pretty full, so you should have my smile as I read your letter.

My email is RawSense2004 AT yahoo DOT com. I look forward to hearing from you. If you would like, you can reach our congress toll free (I don't know if you have to be in the USA, but I think so) at 866-340-9281. Have a wonderful day!

Gravatar Rosemary,

I would be delighted to send you information from various NGOs, Congressional testimony, and even a US State Department Report on the human rights abuses. Please let me know an email address, and I will forward it onto you.

There is no shortage of this information - I will try not to send a library.

Waleeta

Gravatar Dear Waleeta,

If you would send me information that I could verify, I will be more than happy to help you and all the Christians in Iraq. Your rights are important to me, and your faith is even more important.

I am so disgusted that the only time anyone writes about so-called 'religious inequalities' is when some terrorist or their sympathizers start crying. Then they burn down everything and kill people. Tell me, what kind of justice is that?

I do not understand it. What happened to our promise? If it turns out that you have a claim against the government or their officials, I can be a voice for you here in America. I need to be sure, though. I hope you understand. In the days of being lied to by terrorists (which Christians are not part of this), I need evidence, some kind of objective proof.

Do you have any help from Amnesty International? Reporters Without Borders? USAID? This would help. Thank you so much for contacting me. I hope you continue to keep in touch. I will add your site to my blogroll. Please try to have a nice day and remember, it is because He died for our sins that we are truly saved and free. No matter our situation. He loves you. He has not abandoned you. He is faithful. He is sufficient. God bless you.

Gravatar Correction, which will indeed by the MOSQUES of tomorrow.

Gravatar It pains me, as an Assyrian Christian from north Iraq, to hear such accolades for an entity which is actually exacerbating our flight from our indigenous homeland.

The Kurds are an oppressive, uber-nationalist regime, suppressing the independence of the Assyrian nation while building them churches today - which will indeed be the churches of tomorrow.

Voting for them to have their own country is tantamount to voting for Saddam Husseins uber-nationalist and secular party. After all, Saddam Hussein built us churches too. He loves Christians. He just demanded we cease being "Assyrian". Same thing with KRG.

Gravatar Thank you, your sweetness.

Yes, God bless the Kurds! Personally, I would vote for them to have their own country. They are the only people who have been abused and without a country of their own. They have been a democratic republic for a long time. They deserve one more those A-rabs on our Holy Lands! But that's for another day.

My day is wonderful!

Gravatar God bless the Kurds.

Have a great Sunday Rosemary.
