EeeeEEEEEEEEEEEeeEEE!!! ::giddy:: Exciting!! Sure hope ANDY has the snowblower all ready... this sounds like the winter wonderland we have all been anticipating!! |
|
It is exciting to see your enthusiasm for this upcoming winter is in line with many other forcasters and hobbiest, whom I read on EasternWX. I am pleased that atmospheric conditions appear to be lining up for the east coast to have some decent winter weather this year. However, my conservative personality will refrain from too much exuberance until I see the white stuff falling and landing with my own two eyes. Baltimore climatology suggest that we see some wet (mostly non accumulating)flakes in November. I would not expect much different this year. I believe Baltimore often gets its first accumulating snow in December and I would expect this to be true as well. What I will be keying in on is does the cold lock in towards the last half of December. If so, I think, January and February will be fun winter months. There is a certain amount of excitement that comes from watching things in the atmosphere unfold! Here's to a great snowy winter for the Baltimore area!! |

Looking forward to some early white stuff from the sky. Although I agree with Gary regarding December snows, MD has also experienced snowfall in November ranging from a few inches to almost a foot. With current evidence regarding the erratic temperature swings, and no significant hurricanes in the Atlantic I tend to agree they are direct indicators of a changed pattern, thanks to El Nino. A significant El Nino, as we are seeing this year, may lead us to accept Mr. Foot's hypothesis; early onset of a snowy period commencing in the next few weeks. |

This is exciting! I'll be watching along with all of you. |

This beast is still in the cave. Nose twitched a little when South Central PA weather said their might be a snow shower tonight. To say the least, not enough of a feast, to bring out this beast. Rolling back over. |

Substitute there for their in above post. It was a struggle but I did make it beyond 3rd grade. |

Mr. Foot. How are you doing? I am at State College this year. Amazing early winter snow here. Hoping for a long cold and snowy winter. |
|
Its suprising that there is a Hurricane swirling in the Gulf Of Mexico. What are your thoughts Mr. Foot? |
