The line from "Brokeback Mountain" which really got me was "if you can't fix it, you have to put up with it." The film was so amazing. As you may know, I'm a huge Ang Lee fan, and this film is a good reason why. I was blown away not only by Heath Ledger and Jake G, but also by just about every single performance in the film.
The only criticism I have of the movie is the great disappearing daughter. But the use of shirts, and the ever returning harmonica won me over.
A great film, but not as good as "Crash."

That little warning voice in the head - so pesky! So easy to ignore (alas).

Why has that movie never made it across my radar? Grr, can't believe I've missed seeing it. No time, now that classes are beginning again, but I'll definitely rent it.
And if you find some way to not be so impatient while knitting great expanses of sweater backs ... bottle it, girl! Cuz everyone will want some.

We'll have to discuss the movie next time at Nina's. BTW, I'm pretty sure 'Walk the Line' will come to the $2 theater on Larpenteur, so you can probably watch it then if you don't mind rocking chairs and sticky floors! I might join you, I want to see it too.
I'm with you 100% on the magic of the big silver screen in the dark. DVDs- bah.
