Gravatar Okay, I am not the only person having problems with the Lantern Moon dpns breaking. I bought a set of size 1 ebony last week and I have laready broken 2 needles. My LYS is holding the other set as a set of spares for me right now. The ebony needles do not seem to be any sturdier than the rosewood. And the sad fact is that I love knitting with them!!!

Gravatar Zooba - I signed up for them a month ago and love it. It's like Netflix you don't have to return. I'm expecting my next book any day now and it's like waiting for a present. (what a dork, I know...) You can't beat 10 bucks with no shipping for books.

Gravatar Pretty Jaywalkers!

Gravatar I'm popping in from the harlot's. I'm also trying to read Million Little Pieces and before the ruckus, I was truly enjoying it. Now it's annoying and feels like a waste of time.
I'm jealous of ebony and rosewood. I have one set of 4mm straight rosewoods that have beautifully turned ends. But my dpns are either aluminum or bamboo. Hey, I'm a knitter on a budget!

Gravatar zooba ia awesome you'll love it!
Great jaywalkers! Sorry about the needle

Gravatar I've just started knitting socks. I've just used regular bamboo needles, and they seem to be working for me, although they've curved.

I read "A Million Little Pieces" when it came out, months before the Oprah thing. I really liked it then, but now it just makes me angry that he lied like that.

You should read "Dry," by Augusten Bourroughs (sp?), and any of his other books. "Dry" deals with alcoholism, and you will laugh and cry. I did, and I rarely cry while reading books. "Running with Scissors" was great, too. The way he wrote about his life, I felt bad for him having a dysfunctional childhood, but I also would find myself wishing my childhood was more interesting.
