I'll help you with the easy one. Have a garage sale and get rid of those video tapes and cassettes. If you ever wanted to watch Prince of Tides or listen to Eric Clapton Unplugged, you would get them in a digital medium because the picture/sound quality is so much improved. You won't miss those things. Clothes are a bit harder, as changing season, moods, and weight require us women to keep a lot. The yarn and fiber is easy - send it to me

I struggle with a lot of the same issues, living in a small space. I choose to live here, in this amount of space, because I want it to force me to make the hard choices, so my stuff doesn't keep expanding and expanding. But dang, it sure is hard, isn't it??
It's about time to start going through closets again and make those drop off trips to Value Village...

I do the same thing. I have all this stuff in my kitchen that I keep just in case. I did clean out the basement last summer and brought 4 van loads to ARC. Glad to find another Minnesota knit blogger!

I feel your pain.
I feel good when I purge and donate but I tend to hang onto things far too long.
I enjoy watching Clean Sweep, it motivates me to get rid of stuff. I cleaned my linen closet last weekend and it helped to take everything out and then put back only the items I needed. My Clean Sweep beginning...
