I *love* the pirate hat and the cupcakes! I wonder if you would have run out of Koigu if you had made the longer leg on the sock. The funny thing is that when I first saw the photo (before I read your words underneath) I immediately thought how strange it was that the leg on your Conwy looked short to me. I'm glad that it wasn't an optical illusion or my poor eyesight. I don't like long socks, either, yet I never think of shortening the ones I knit...
