Gravatar Wow - that does sound like the week that sucked. But it's Friday now and things are already looking up. Cars are just cars; bats can be handled by pest control; there is no such thing as "too much yarn" no matter what your "friend" says. As for your work situation - YOU are fighting the good fight on behalf of a child. Thank you for enduring what you did to make a childs life better.

Gravatar ohhh I want to try that gloss so bad looks wonderful! Thanks for the yarn porn! Hope you have a better weekend!

Gravatar Hope your weekend is better than your week!

I agree on the Scarpetta series - I skipped one along the way somewhere and I couldn't believe how bleak and depressing Kay Scarpetta's life had become; and her niece is so screwy - it made me sad.

Well, you need to pick up some cheerier reading and some knitting I guess!

Gravatar I hope you have a better weekend!

Gravatar I'm sorry you had a sucky week! Sometimes the world is against us! I read that Cornwell book too and was happy that it was better than the last Scarpetta book I read. But I was surprised it was so short.

Gravatar My signature on emails sometimes is, "Life's short...buy the shoes." But I think that the word "yarn" should be inserted where "shoes" resides. Yarn acquisition beats most other addictions, for sure! Hope your days get better and all your friends are supportive!

Gravatar the only reason I could think to justify anyone commenting on the money you spend on yarn would be if you owed the friend money! Otherwise, friend--MYOB.

Gravatar Oh, what a bummer of a week! I think we had the same bat Have a happy weekend!

Gravatar Not really one of the best weeks, huh??

Gravatar I'm sorry for your rough week, but it's good that you had some nice stuff in there to temper it. It's so exciting to have a new baby to knit for - congratulations to your sister and her family!

The new yarn looks nice, I hope it's fun to work with!

Gravatar Here's hoping next week is FANTASTIC!

Gravatar take some time for rest, recreation, knitting and playing this weekend. next week will be better!

Gravatar Yikes, what a week!! An engine sounds sort of expensive.

Congrats on the future niece or nephew!! May I recommend bibs?

I enjoy the Cork O'Connor books, too. They're very well done.

I hope things are calmer for you this next week!

Gravatar I love Cornwell, but have to agree, the past couple of Scarpetta books I've sorta sped-read through. I thinks she's gotten off track somewhere or is trying to put too much in those books. Thanks for the warning on this one. I'll save my money. I got 4 skeins of Gloss this week, 2 in the Woodland Sage and 2 in Serengeti. I can't wait to start socks with them.
