I think I had that Forenza sweater in every color!
Your friend Lori's stirrup pants crack me up!!
Great photos...

You know, you could put MY head on most of those photos!
Except, I wore my Forenza sweater backwards with a big V in the back.
What a flashback!

Those are the cutest 80's pictures I have ever seen.
Nothing cringe-worthy (unlike some others I have seen). Oh, except for the HUGE glasses - hehe!

I had forgotten shaker sweaters -- Sarah, I sometimes wore mine backwards, too! And perms -- many of my family have naturally curly hair, but not me, so I wore mine long and curly-permed well into the 90s. If I thought I could get away with it, I'd still wear it that way.....

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I'm going to have to get a scanner one of these days so I can do the same!

Not that bad, I think you escaped the 80s' relatively unscathed.

I think you look just adorable in all the photos. I especially love the graphic b/w one.
I still have big hair and Brooke Shields brows. I probably will in 2050 too and I shall be the most dramatic 80 year old in town.
See you Wednesday?

I'm having flashbacks and I've never done acid... The Limited! The sweater! Holy crap! Ah what I would give to be able to fit in their crap now...
Excellent photo essay!

Great pictures. I was in junior high about that time, and wore a lot of similar clothes, including the backwards V-in-back mentioned above. I also had big red glasses like Carol (Tracey Gold) from Growing Pains. (Yuck, but I loved them then.)

omg. I graduated in '85 & your photos where quite a memory trigger! I had similar glasses but in pink. And the big shoulder pads and stirrup pants, etc. Fashion hell. My 18yo daughter is quite fascinated with anything 80's. I say let it die. And yet, there are some very similar styles today. Kind of freaks me out. And don't forget the very discernable 80's music. The current bands that have the same sound also freak me out. But maybe in a good way. And ya gotta love that Bowling for Soup song "1985"?

Wow, these are great Renee! You're beautiful in all your 80s glory. Whoever said that none of these are squirm-worthy was right.
