I'm having trouble with my red scarf too... I'm nearly done with the first two balls and getting a bit bored. I'm almost to the point where I will need to work on it exclusively too so I don't miss the deadline. I hadn't heard about this movie, thanks!

Renee, I really like what you said about Letters from Iwo Jima. I was having the same types of thoughts Tuesday as I listened to a young man in one of the classes I was monitoring telling me how he couldn't wait to be posted to Iraq (he's in the NG) so he could "kick in some doors" and do what he is trained to do. He didn't say it in a tone of delight about anticipated violence...more one of innocent enthusiasm. What we do to our kids...
