Gravatar That scarf is absolutely gorgeous!! Intriguing sounding book - your description was bringing The Poisonwood Bible to mind.

Gravatar I really like that red scarf. Good job!

Gravatar wow that scarf is awesome!!!

Gravatar The scarf is great! Your job sounds really interesting - do you still love it?

That book looks like it's right up my alley, I'll have to put it on my list.

Gravatar Wow, beautiful scarf! Thanks for the gentle reminder that I have some ends to be woven in this weekend.

I was thinking of Barbara Kingsolver and Marge Piercy as I was reading your book review. When you mentioned BK at the end, that made me excited to read it! I'll have to have a look at the library this weekend.

Have you read any Marge Piercy? Vida perhaps, or Woman on the Edge of Time?

Gravatar You have some serious cabling going on there! And the results are stunning!

Do you use a cable needle or have you mastered the technique of cabling without a needle.

Just my brief experience with the Fetching mitts has convinced me that my next cable project will be sans cable needle.

Gravatar The scarf looks great! I really need to try cables on of these days!

Gravatar The scarf is beautiful!

Gravatar That scarf is beautiful! I love reversible cable things. I have a Lily Chin pattern for a reversible cabled afghan that I've always meant to get around to knitting, but I haven't yet.

And I see you were shopping at The Tangled Skein, which I discovered while visiting my MIL. (I live in DC.)

Gravatar That scarf is gorgeous. You'll have one lucky recipient,
Li
