This movie is one that I have heard of and I really want to see. My grandfather left Spain before the Civil War and Franco. But I have lived in Spain and this makes me want to see it.
And I do not envy you the sewing.

Good luck with the sewing up.
I really need to see Pan's Labrynth. Did it have subtitles?

I watched PL on Saturday and thought it was really amazing visually. It's definitely not a kids' film despite the 'fairy tale' aspect...the violence was more than I expected. I haven't seen the other nominees but I can see why this one's up for Best Foreign Film.
The sewing will be worth it...I can't wait to see that FO in person!

I've been thinking that Pan's Labyrinth looked interesting, and after reading your description I'm ready to go see it. Hopefully I can get some time to do that soon.
It's going to be a massive project to stitch together all those mitered squares, but it'll be so cool when it's all done! What yarn are you using for them, again?

Wow, only one more square to go! And thanks for describing the movie. I couldn't tell from the TV commercials what it was like.
