I saw REM like 25 years ago at the Orpheum. I have to let that one digest.
I sat in front of the TV with my 11 year old who was thrilled to listen to me tell him..."Honey, this is history, history. A black man and a woman competing for the Democratic candidacy! " We were both thrilled that it was Obama...and I cried. I can't help it, he makes me so...hopeful!
AND, I want some Audacity for myself!
I.LOVE.REM!! I saw them maybe 4 years ago and felt like I was 25 again. They are such a concert band if there ever was one. I'd of course like to see them in a smaller venue but....waddya gonna do!

Love that stitch pattern on your malabrigo silk scarf. It's similar to the stars on Laminaria, but I'm guessing a good deal less painfull. (k3tog, yo, k3tog for the stars.)
The scarf is beautiful! I thought about you when Obama won the nomination. Sounds like it was awesome to be there!
