I love your afghan! I have toyed with that pattern for a while - but then put it back again I think working squares with another yarn would work well if you place them into the mix with purpose. It will be very cozy to cuddle in.

I had no idea you were knitting the Aran Afghan. I've long admired it, and need to get the booklet. Yours is gorgeous!
If the colors don't quite match up exactly, perhaps you could overdye the whole thing?

Hi Renee, did you know that Double Ewe yarn store in Circle Pines is having a Great American Afghan knit-along?
Here is the info:
Great American Afghan Knit Along (a.k.a. GAA KAL)
Meets every other Saturday morning from 9:00 - 10:30.
Upcoming meetings: February 9th & 23rd, March 8th & 22nd
About the different shades of white: what if you knit some blocks in the different shades, then alternate them? I think it will still look good.
