LOVED Hot Fuzz. Best movie of the "summer" so far, IMHO. By a long shot.

Hot Fuzz sounds like a fun summer movie. I'll put it on my mental list. I previewed Shrek III with some friends so I could decide whether I want to take my kids this weekend. It was a lot of fun, so if we're looking for air-conditioned entertainment, Shrek it shall be!

Renee, glad you're doing ok. Missed you yesterday at Nina's.
I liked the book but didn't get around to watching the film version of The Namesake. I heard that it did do justice to a book that I thought would be hard to film. Maybe I'll watch it on DVD. If you haven't yet, you should read 'Interpreter of Maladies', also by Jhumpa Lahiri.

First, I'm giving you a big HUG.
I loved The Namesake because I could relate to the subject matter since I grew had some similar issues with my mom while growing up. But whenever I see the movie poster I just think about that bad movie that Kal Penn was in. I can't wait to see it though as well as Hot Fuzz. It will probably come to my little town some time next year when I have to buy it from Pay-Per-View. Waitress is finally playing here.
