Ok, that is one lovely preemie hat!
How you've been feeling about politics since Wellstone's death really resonated with me.

I would absolutely join you in caucusing if I didn't have a work dinner Tuesday night. Hubby will be caucusing, though. Wish I could have been there!

From a WI blue-green progressive: right on! Although Obama has moved to the right since he started running, we can always hope for real change. (see my post tomorrow)
When you said you were knitting blue, I scrutinized the sweater front trying to get the shape of MN out of it. LOL. Did you see the green WI that The Tsarina knit? http://www.tsocktsarina.com/blog/?p=234
I blame having seen that for my idiocy in searching for the blue MN in your photo.
So, would I be correct in guessing you will be voting for a former SNL writer for US senator in November? I think my only regret about leaving MN is that I can't vote for Al. I love his commercials with his 4th (5th?) grade teacher.

Wow! LOOK at that crowd! That's amazing. Obama is going to be in Hartford tomorrow for a rally. I don't think I'll be able to go because of work, but my husband is going to try to make it.
I was able to meet Obama several years ago -- he spoke at the ALA conference and did a book signing afterwards. I waited in line for the signing for well over an hour and was one of the last people before they cut it off. Even after all those people, though, he was very gracious and chatted with me for a moment as he signed.

Your comments on the state of things since Wellstone's death really nailed it. I think progressive people, here in MN especially, have been feeling disillusioned and abandoned. Obama does seem to be the person we're looking to. I wish I could've gone to the Target Center event.
I'm so excited to go to the caucus on Tuesday - my mom is coming to watch the kids so we can go! Who would've ever thought that we'd take a "date night" to go vote? Funny, but that's the state of things now. We *have* to work for change now.

Well said and I completely agree. Wellstone's death was devastating, but Obama gives me hope.

Hey Renee=-= Thanks for the photos. I was able to watch highlights of BO's talk, and I loved that he mentioned Wellstone.
Latest polls show that BO will do better nationally agains JM than HRC--
now we wait for Tuesday evening...

I can't say much about politics, being Canadian and all, but I am pretty happy that I won't be living next door to a country run by Dubya for much longer.
I love that you used a fork to highlight the pocket. Very cute.

I think the worst think about dubya is that we actually re-elected him. OMG what were people thinking? Barack truly does take my breath away. It's wonderful to see someone bring hope to our country, isn't it?

We are SO excited to be caucusing for Obama tonight! The really fun part is that the kid will be there with us, doing as much as he's allowed - he isn't able to vote yet, but he will be voting age in November, and is already a wonderful example of Youth Involvement. He's been to the polls with me every election since he was three, and can't wait to raise his voice and be counted!
I can't remember this much real excitement about an election since the malaise born of Watergate took over my generation. Hope is a heady thing, isn't it?
See you at the polls!

Fantastic photos! Wow- so much better than a description to capture the enthusiasm.
My caucus location was a madhouse last night and I am embarrassed to admit I was tired, and didn't caucus. But Barack won handily anyway, as I knew he would. You are right that we need someone to inspire us, now more than ever. Yes we can!
The cabled hat is beautiful- clever decreases.

In 8th grade we had a mock political convention and I got to play Mrs. Hubert Humphrey. LOL
