I agree entirely. As incredible as it may seem, this is the second blog I have read in the last 24 hours on this subject. Lars, our "adopted" son, quoted JFK on his blog a couple of days ago. I couldn't let it go without a comment. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the comment and for the link. I'll add Lars to my ongoing list of blogs to consult. That is a great quote from JFK; I read a longer section the other day but cannot remember where! What I do remember is that he gave the speech to a group of Baptist ministers to assuage any doubts that he would be beholden to papal authority over the country's needs. Rather ironic isn't it that now we have to worry about Baptists or other conservative politicians becoming beholden to a certain sliver of Christian thought.
