I agree with you completely. This may humor you, since you have been a part of many deep, heated, and overheated "conversations" that I have been a part of. Sometimes, when pride takes the wheel, we abandon reason and a sense of respect for the other person, simply to make a point or to prove ourselves right and the other person wrong instead of coming to some sort of agreement, compromise, or basic understanding of the other. Strong post. Miss you, brother.

How are you brother?! Reading your post reminds me of some recent conversations I have had. I see that others with whom I engage are not interested in the truth as much as they are being right. Then, of course, I look in the proverbial mirror and see that I am no different. As we engage one another it seems that objectivity is typically out the window and presupposition takes control. We want to be right and win rather than learn. We want to teach rather than be taught. I am guiltiest of all. Good luck with your Areopagus exegesis.
