Hmmmm, sorry RDW, but in this case I'm with the teachers and the union. The school district is responsible for the mistake. They ought to eat it. To give them a free pass just means the same mistake is likely to be made further down the road.
However, for a mistake like that I also think voters ought to remember it at the next election and throw the bums out.
The Union's official position is that whatever mistake is made should be honored by either side.
I can live with that....IF...
Next year the state can charge the same. The State could be a hero by saving millions.
OOPS, I missed that zero. Those mistakes happen everyday.

I pay alot of dollars for education in this country. Quite alot. I have expectations. My first expectation is for the organization that instruct my children be moral.
If that institution (teachers union) accepts money not allocated for them, yet keep it, that is not the lesson I want my teachers to impart on my loved ones.. That is bad no matter who you are.
