Great to see all the "adults" are on Obama's side...
Guess "name calling" is progressive and wishing someone was dead is compassionate.

Maybe it will be a good thing -- let everyone see what kinds of supporters he has, and what he will listen to. :/

That's OK Fred, it just shows the sort of nut-case adherents that Obama has, which is just another stike against him in my book. Anyhow, that's my opinion.
Besides, if we believe in freedom of speech, then hate speech is gonna be part of that. I don't believe in restricting hate speech, never have and never will. No one has to listen to it, but people should be able to say whatever they want and show their "real" selves.
Where I have always drawn the line is when a hateful action is taken which hurts anyone. Speech, whether hateful or not, is not a sin. So if someone puts up a web site for the public, then that sort of person will inevitably appear. The only time I would censor them is if they use up most of the blog without allowing others a turn.
Either we have "freedom of speech" or we don't. And this nut case is not yelling "Fire" in a theater.
He does have a right to his hateful opinion. At least I think so. Of course, if I were locked in an elevator with someone like him I'd probably have to punch his lights out sooner or later! At least he is an equal-opportunity hater. Sounds like he hates the Clintons just as much as he hates Bush.
What a guy!!! The brain power is astounding!!!

Just to be clear, I have never and will never believe in censoring "hate speech" and I don't believe in "hate crime". Freedom of speech should allow anything, including rebuttal. And a crime is a crime is a crime and they are all "hate crimes". I don't like the idea of labeling something in order to be "politically correct", and that's what this has become, another convenient label that is a matter of opinion. In fact, almost anything could be called "hate speech" if it was the opposite of what the hearer believes-----and of course, that's absurd.
You know, in Germany, when my parents were young, they went through all of that. There was lots and lots of "hate speech" against the jews and other ethnic groups which was acceptable, but it was the government that defined what "hate speech" was, and in my dad's case, his critical comment about Hitler was considered "hate speech", and he was promptly carted off to a "readjustment center" to readjust his thinking. Because of that comment he also lost his job as a violinist in a prominent Berlin orchestra, and he never did get it back even after he was "readjusted".
So who is to say what exactly is "hate speech"? And who is the ultimate arbiter of it? I'm just very uncomfortable with the whole idea. I'd rather see my enemy plainly in his speech, than be surprised because it's couched in "appropriate" or "hidden" language.
Just my opinion, of course.

I have to agree with Rose on this one. That's an amazing story Rose.
The "readjustment center" sounds so Orwellian.

I also took the liberty of grabbing the HTML code of both pages of Ejike's archive just in case the Obama camp decides to scrub that as well, but I have not posted it. Yes, it is rather interesting (in the Chinese sense) reading.
